I thought you only need .mdx files and .blp for skins?
I read the model import tutorial and did exactly the same: change paths to (***\***.blp) and just leave the .mdx file intact.
WTF is going on ! :evil:
After I change a units model and put on the map it sais: "Could not load file: war3mapImported\***.mdl"
--> mdl not mdx!
Please help me. I would really like to use other models.

ps: i have got a screenshot, just tell me how to post it

Well, for a start, your attempted pathing scheme appears to fail already. Different models have entirely different paths. Go and read my tutorial up the top of the forum

Secondly, ignore the .mdl part. Its a stupid error which means "We can't load your model. Yeah, we're saying .mdl instead of .mdx, but who cares?"

I think by "***\***.blp" you mean race\unit. That won't work. Go onto the page where you downloaded the model from and check again at the skin paths. Which I might add are blindingly obvious
