[Solved] World Editor crashing when saving

So before posting this there are similar to this, in my case, this specific map (an old map i have half a decade ago lol) i tried doing random stuff until... now if i save it, it will crash, even going manually to file > save as, still the same, even testing the game it will still crash, but when i open other maps its working fine

no warning or error pop ups, just straight up crashing...what could be the problem?

EDIT1: i tried opening the game and run the map, its working normally...just not on editor
EDIT2: i saw a unit i rename and there is a gibberish name extension to it, i tried renaming then save > still the same, it crashes, i also tried deleting the unit > guess what? yeah pretty much...at this point i dont know what it broke

Nevermind, i did the salvage with the good ol reliable on %temp% and as i suspected, its the unit with gibberish name extension is the cause

Hi there SenPie, I am currently having the same issue as you, but I don't know how to read the temp files. How did you know it was the gibberish unit? the the temp tell you? and if so, where?

There was a unit i was editing, but the name of the unit has random letters and numbers instead of the customed name or even abilities

to recover your map, access on temp file via win + R hotkey and type "%Temp%" and on the very last there is worldedit map, basically an autosave map you recently opened/edited
 
Ok all good. I guess I have no choice but to sift through 4GB of assets. I kinda went overboard :(. Good thing I kept copies of the zip files, so I can see when I added them.
