Okay Woldrain is the account that I play with on Wc3 Bnet, and I'm completely new to both the hive and making maps.
I'm basically an old wc3 player who moved on to WoW some years ago. Got totally fed up with the game though, or not so much with the game itself but the people who play it, so I decided to have a long break from it. I've been playing some other games as well, but I also wanted to move back to warcraft 3 since I thought I had more fun with this game than I did with WoW.
Unfortunately I can seldom find any of what used to be my favourite games in the Bnet, which partly brings us to why I got interested in map making. I also like playing normal games though can't say I'm anywhere near a master in them. However this gave me an idea of making a custom melee map, where I'd do some special items of my own and so on. That then developed into a much much larger project that I'm working on at the moment.
Though I have messed with the editor in the past, this is the first time I'm making a map seriously. So far been so good, haven't had any major problems yet and the map is progressing really well considering my inexperience with modding. With the help of a few tutorials I've been able to do everything so far alone, though these last few days I have had minor problems with triggers. Nothing I couldn't overcome though I'm sure.
There, now I've introduced myself to the community and can probably be free of the "please introduce yourself" notice
