Wierd projectile when casting

Hello all! I have a wierd and annoying but purely cosmetic problem.
Whenever a unit finishes channeling a spell it fires a projectile at the target of the spell in addition to any spell art.
The projectile looks like a bloodmage projectile.

I've tried many things but the projectile still fires... If anyone could shed some light on this I'll greatly appriciate it.

I've tried basing the spell on different abilities: channel, holy light, mana burn, etc.. Still same projectile.
The unit does not use the same projectile art that the spell shoots.

spell does not have missile art or missile speed

What is the unit based on and what other abilities does he have (not only hero abilities). If the other abilities are custom only write the abilities they where based on.
 
My units are based on Paladin or mountain king.. Could it have something to do with that the ability is not a hero ability that i give to a hero unit?
The only other ability that the unit has is Inventory (Hero)
 
ok now that is very weird. The only thinks I could have thought of was you giving the hero the ability sphere or using the Bloodmage as base unit...
Here are some more questions (that if answered different than I expect leave me clueless): a. Does your hero have any items and if yes does the bug still occur when you drop those items?
b. Does your hero have any abilities that are based on the bloodmages abilities (flamestrike, banish, siphon mana, phoenix)?
