Why our maps may not be successful

I hear complaints quite often about how people like to play crappy maps instead of good ones that many of us take time doing properly.Here is some reasons why

The map editor:The general players of b.net are more interested ina fun game that they like.Their idea of fun may not be how much time the creator puyt into the map how much custom icons and models it uses and how much jass script and spells there are in the map.

in other words perhaps we overdo ourselves with making everything look so nice custom interface etc.

and maybe some spell are so complex and hard to aim that people just dont find it fun or something.also amny of us like to type elaborate tooltips which maybe hard for some players to understand(I once played a map that had a tooltip so impossible to understand that i casted the spell to find out what it does,i then realised i had casted cluster rockets)
In other words pehaps we should conxcentrate on how people will like the map instead of creating a custom icon when not neccesary.
pehaps this is why some simple maps get hosted a whole lot more than well done complex ones

so to summarise it all
-go ahead create custom icons just dont overdo
-im not condemming jass spells
-im not trying to create hype for Dota and other hated maps
-im just giving some ideas
-plz dont flame

I have to agree with this, although it's an in-direct insult. I don't get the idea of a human being with some people. They are just so stupid that it's impossible to imagine a brain controlling the fingers pressing the buttons of the Keyboard.

yea people seem to get the idea like maps of WoW and LOTP will be super popular but they fail to relize you need a ending to a game which is meant to have endings. and so they fizzle out in a few weeks.

Using "u" "r" "ur" etc are going give a bad impression of your map.

Or those who make the map, but never update it.

OR those who bash other peoples maps and/or just make a plain out stupid idea..

But you see, Happy's Project will be an uber success only because hes always so happy !
