Where are the good campaigns?

I find it hard to believe that WC3 has been out for (7?) years and still noone has finished a Blizzard-quality Warcraft themed and lore campaign yet.

Are they just hard to find, or what.

Just look around in the map section, there are several good campaigns there.

Not sure I would point that out as a good benchmark.

Most mappers are creative people who would rather work with their own ideas than somebody else's.

And WC3 has been out for 7 years. Why is the only user-made campaign out there using the standard WC3 melee units just a remake of the existing Blizzard campaigns designed for 2 player cooperative play...

Yea, but the required work is so huge people always give up sooner or later.

because campaign makes tend to be creative people who have their own stories they want to tell

It's more satisfactory to do your own stuff than to follow in the footsteps of Blizzard.

And C, you're not looking hard enough. Try looking for campaigns with ratings over 4, those are usually good.
