What if: The greek lost the greco-persian wars? Now with a title! EoaDE.

Empires of a Different Europe


So... I'm thinking of making a map based around what might have happened if the Persian empire won the Greco-Persian wars.

So far I've got some ideas:

• Most likely this would mean less of the greek philosophy which have shaped europe.
• A large Persian empire in the south eastern europe.
• A small confederation of greek colonies around the Black Sea.
• Germanic and celtic tribes dominating north, central and western europe.
• Southwestern europe populated by the Celtiberian culture.
• Mediterrean africa are populated by the Phoenicans.
• Eastern Europe are being invaded by the Scythians.
• You start in the Iron age, can evolve to the Medieval Ages and then to the Imperial Ages

Nope, I'm not.

This is based on the idea of how europe might have evolved if the persians won the greco-persian wars.

I'm currently unhappy with the names of the ages, but I lack any better at the moment, as for the names of the special units, AoE II have been great help ^^
