WE ver. 1.21 keeps crashin' when...i set my imported model to a unit. OMG....WHY???? Only 3 people know that model - me, Happy tauren and Moderator General Frank /my deepest respect to them/. I editted it myself, but there seems to be a problem with the path or something.....could some1 take a look and try it? I really need to make that model run on my map...:grin::grin::grin: Any help would be payed off by me with high rating for your account..:infl_thumbs_up::infl_thumbs_up: /i'm sorry for any mistakes i made in writing my posts, i am from bulgaria :grin::grin:/

hm....

:grin::grin::grin::grin::eekani:hm......poly of my model ain't high - only 320 i think......btw, i got 3D Sudio Max 5......hehehehe, wasn't easy to get but i have it...only question is = will it work with WC3 Art Tools as promised? I doubt that, it uses ver 4.0 or 4.26. Has any1 of u tryed to get it to work under 3ds max 5? If it works, many models will come soon uploaded in this site.:infl_thumbs_up::spell_breaker::angry:
 
Models only crash world editors due to their poly count.

RDZ said this milion times and I will repeat.

What crashes WE?

1. Improperly made GeosetAnims (not pointing to geoset)
2. Positive mins and Negative maxes in models extents.
3. Teamcoloured particle emitters (if not based of existing emitter)
4. Animations which last 0 seconds
5. Lights when attached to root bone (THIS IS ONLY SOMETIMES)
6. Some kinds of texture animations, if not done properly.
7. Polycount (if higher than 100000)



EDIT: I think it is fixed, test it.

so....what was the problem tauren? Geosets? I was suspecting this to be the problem, what do you say? Anyway, you get rating from me for all the help that u lent me. I will try now the model. I think with new skin, it will be reborned into a true mage of high class. Some day even the moderator wont ignore it. Well, it requires lots of time to skin it....:bored::bored:

Art Tools work with Max 5, that's what I myself use.
