Wc3sear.ch Maps Finally Imported

Hello Guys!
I have finally imported the wc3sear.ch maps to our own maps database. There have however been some problems. Some maps didn't get imported because they couldn't get unzipped, I dunno why but I am trying to solve it.

We have however imported ~3600 maps correctly.

I think they really need to check out, most of them are really bad and other ages old and so "too old", I do not mean with this that old maps are always crappy, well ... on the other there are just a few guys who control this "approved" thingy, and this would take ages ...

So what's next ?

Thanks for the import update Chieftain! Approval of the imported maps is going to take quite some time. I'm sure that many undesirable maps will be weeded out in the process.

I do not command the Maps Section so I'm unable to do that. However, I'm quite happy my favourite Cinematics are finally back!

Hey all. . .I actually noticed(since it is my job to approve maps here) that the wc3sear.ch maps have yet to be approved as of yesterday and have already approved over two pages of maps. . .I also have not approved a few - due to the fact that they are already on the site. I am working on the approving stage. . .there were about 127 pages of maps to approve. . .we are at 125, and as I said before I only started yesterday!

So please be patient. . .I have more time on the weekends, but will still do my best to approve all of these maps. I do not mind doing it either so don't worry about me getting bored or anything.

Although if you know of any maps that are on the Hive already and were on wc3sear.ch as well I would be grateful for a friendly pm telling me that we already have it. . .seeing as It's quite a pain to search and see if we already have those maps or not. . .

Anyways, hope that helps.

moderators.. I have edited the section so it displays the wc3sear.ch maps, but they are still in moderation queue but the user-submitted maps are first in the list. So you don't have to haste..

You don't have to look for identical maps. NONE of the maps are identical, maybe the name is, but there is still a difference.

Just approve good maps.

I suggest approving all maps of clan CBS, those maps are good enough.
By the way, I'll start moderating maps friday since my vacation starts from that day .
Meanwhile between some days I'll try to check other maps.

Those maps in the Non-Approved queue are unlikely to show comments as they have yet to be analyzed by a resource moderator.

Whenever I approve or reject a resource, I always provide a comment. I believe that such comments are important because they create a record of the date and moderator who has reviewed it. My comments are also intended to show valid reasons for a particular resource's inclusion or denial and provide some consumer feedback to the submitter.

Yes, I too moderate maps? Didn't know that didja? Yep. I already did a few of them, but there is 30 something pages out there of non-approved maps, so it looks like us resource moderators (at least the map mods anyway) have our work cut out for us xD
