First of all, this is my first post on these forums so hi, I'm iEntity. I've come on here for many years to get models or maps, and I've found a lot of posts that have been helpful with Warcraft III in general. Well, I've now run into a problem I can't find anything on. I'm getting a Fatal Error that is telling me the memory can not be read. Here's the weird part, this only happens when I try to play a specific map with other people on BNet or even in LAN. I can play it by myself in LAN and by myself in SP as well. The map is called The World S3.

Before I get to the absolute spam from the log, I'd like to say I'm sorry that I don't know how to make it any smaller. On most forums I would have just used spoiler, but on here it just blackens it out. So sorry in advance.

This is the error.

Any help is appreciated, it looks like a really cool RPG and I want to play it, but I've been unable to for a while now.

EDIT: Tried again with only myself and a fake player. Got the same thing, though different referenced memory.

Exception: 0xC0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 0023:6F75247B

The instruction at '0x6F75247B' referenced memory at '0x0CADFFF8'.
The memory could not be 'read'.
Basically the WarCraft III process tried to access a page that it lacked sufficient permission for. In this case it probably tried to read a page that had not been allocated and as such the process was forced to terminate. This is often called a segmentation fault and in C/C++ is caused by a program trying to dereference an invalid pointer (such as to a page that is not allocated or is reserved).

The instruction that caused the error was located at address 0x6F75247B. Since the game usually loads the program code in a predictable way, you should be able to locate the assembly code that caused it using a disassembler. If you analyse what the code is doing, you can eventually find what is causing the invalid pointer.

Of course if you have the source code for WC3 this could be easier. A debugger compiled build of the game could expose serious logic faults that cause the error. However there is always a chance that it will not cause the error as the debug build code will be different so there is always that slim chance that it will not crash and instead do something unpredictable.
