So I writing this post to asking about your opinions.

I starting or at last trying starting creating my own campaign, which will be continuation of the Warcraft 3 The Frozen throne, but with a little change.

We will face the change of the word, that everyone know.

The first campaign will be have the name "Ruler over dead"
The campaign is the campaign of the undeads under the Lich King Arthas.
Story start around 6 months after events of the Frozen Throne. The true king of scourge awake and his name is Arthas (who consume Ner'zhul). The first think that he learn after waking up is that the dreadlords take control over the 3 pillars into to the Frozen Throne to kill him. Now with help of Anub'arak u need defeat them.

Later player will be control new first death knight of the new lich king Falric and help him with the mission given to him from eternal true king ( name in progress for Arthas who claim to be the king of Northrend and Lordaeron).

I planing whole series which will be in order: undead->orcs->human->night elves->forsaken->fel horde->dwarves->naga->blood elves->broken-> draenei. [ This can still be change if it will be needed ( have idea about almost all story I want tell)

Whats you all thinks about my idea?

That's a ton of vision and planning. While it's cool to dream up huge-scale projects, it's very easy to get overwhelmed and become unsure what exactly to tackle next. I suggest you focus on polishing just a single campaign map to perfection first. Once you have a single map you will have learned a lot about the things you will need to do to follow through with the rest of your ideas.

I have no input on the actual narrative content you've laid out here; I know almost 0 of the warcraft universe lore so not gonna comment on that.

I completely agree with what Pyrogasm said, but I'd like to add something else. The idea sounds great, it really does, but it would be the millionth campaign about the Lich King/Arthas, which I understand everyone is a big fan of, but honestly, personally, I'd prefer a story about a frog that has to jump from one pond to another rather than going back to Arthas and company in the same old thing again... It's just an opinion, don't take it the wrong way, it's also a personal taste, you do what you want and if that idea motivates you, then go ahead.

Regards.

I think there's not a lot of feedback you can get on this. It's a really broad idea, it happens in book writing circles all the time. "Here's a broad idea for a book" - It is an idea, it can go well or bad based on where you take it with execution.

I agree the number of planned campaigns is ambitious but also maybe trying to plan too far ahead.

My advice? Make the first mission come back with that and post it here for feedback, you're gonna get a lot more from other people other than "sounds itneresting" or "not enough info". Also it will help you clarify where you'll actually want to take your project, how many missions and seperate campaigns etc.

I echo the sentiment of everyone else in here and will even drive it home by saying this is too ambitious. I think a good first step would be to do exactly as Pyrogasm said and make the first mission so that you can garner feedback and learn more about the Campaign Editor.

The first mission being Arthas’ descent from the frozen throne and subsequently recreating the final Undead campaign mission with the twist that its undead vs demons will properly test and develop your skills.

1. Develop Arthas and Anub’arak as well as a twist on the undead tech tree.
2. develop mechanics for the battle over control of Icecrown’s obelisks while making some fresh terrain.
3. develop an engaging Demon tech-tree or incorporate an existing one (with credits.

Do these three things and you will have a good viable prototype for your campaign, and understand that even an intermediate user could spend upwards of a two month grind accomplishing this.

Want further advice? Find a good friend who plays wc3 or someone here on the Hive and occasionally pester them for feedback on things you have developed (not ‘will develop’). Let your interactions with this person drive you forward in developing this prototype until you get your minimum viable map and from there open it to the community. This can be done but only if you approach it realistically, remember that delusions of grandeur will produce a plethora of frustration for YOU. So take care of yourself and give yourself the grace of a realistic development pipeline while keeping your excitement up.

I look forward to seeing what you can do and if you have further questions as you develop this prototype feel free to ask them in these forums as you go.
