Hey I've been looking everywhere for download links for the warcraft 3 assets from the SC2 editor in warcraft 3 model versions so I can add them to the warcraft 3 game.

Yeah I was wondering if anyone posted a link with the special HD Warcraft models converted to have warcraft 3 compatible animations.

Or if I'd have to extract the model files from SC2 and then setup the geo-sets with the current war3 equivalent animation sets (which look identical from the video preview given on youtube) from the original war3 model counterparts.

Basically so I can just replace the current graphics for those by adding them to the proper directory in the war3ft directory, and add them to a map.

Well sc2 models work fine in wc3 when they are properly converted

Like you said, to use them you'd need to extract them, convert the models, fix the animations and attachments or rebone the model to existing wc3 model...

You can find some of the sc2 hd models already converted here

yeah that was exactly what I wanted.

Thanks for the quick reply and link.

Fortunately I was able to review many models before the domain went down.
