War3 Error

I keep getting this when trying to run war3 or even test maps, anyone know how to fix it?

It happens EVERY time, I've been told to reinstall it,, and have 5 times

I occasionally get similar errors, the reason being that my graphics memory is too overloaded to work with warcraft.
Usually it fixes itself automatically and I just have to open warcraft again.
However, sometimes I have to fix it myself by closing programs or just not using the absolute highest screen resolution.

How do I change the graphics resolution because I can't even get in the game to change settings?

It's a registry thing for your graphics settings for warcraft 3. However: have you tried to run it with -opengl ?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Blizzard Entertainment -> Warcraft III -> Video

I dont know but I do agree that your problem is in Graphics. Do Zeatherann; suggestion and also this might be also maybe registry error.

Actually what I meant by resolution was my screen resolution.
Sometimes I make it 2560x1600.
It's a nicer way of working with excel(which I need for my balance sheets).

well, if war3's res is set to something like 800x600 and it's fullscreen, then your desktop res doesn't matter.

Btw: I run 3200x1200 on two screens (both on same GPU) and i've never had this error.

It greatly depends on what your computer can handle. I got an 8-year-old laptop with an integrated video card.
