The [img][/img] tags correctly work for vector images, so why are we unable to upload vector images to our albums? I haven't tested if they work for post attachment, but I also don't know how to refer to an attachment as this doesn't show how to get the attachment numbers.
I never heard this. I guess I can enable .svg upload but I don't believe it would show a thumbnail as its not a picture in the normal sense. It's a graph.
How does thumbnails work in the system?
Quick edit: Having vector images (cleverly created ones) would make things like contest headings and other informative, structured, images smaller in fire size. Which is why I asked.

Depending on the complexity of the image it should be able to act as a thumbnail itself since vector images can lossless resize (scale) and are usually small enough that it does not mater.
Alternatively one would need to be some pre-processor that pre-renders the vector image at the resolution of the thumbnail image and then that image is used as the thumbnail (which opens up the full screen vector image when clicked).
