Gameplay

Gameplay:
There are two teams: 10 builders vs 2 vampires. The builders try to survive for 120 minutes(or 90, depending on game mode) to win by building a base and/or running.
The vampires work together to destroy the bases and kill the builders.
killed builders can become minions to help the vampires

General Features


Humans
  • 3 possible slayer heroes, each with unique abilities
  • 5 different walls (Mega, Spike, Mana, Scout and Divinity)
  • walls are good against different kind of vamps, e.g. spike is good against dd's, mana good against tanks or single vamps
  • 7 different towers (Arrow, Speed, Range, Splash, Feedback, Slow, Magic)
  • choose your towers based on how the vamps play e.g. splash against cooperating vamps/minions,
    speed against solo, slow and feedback to disturb them
  • many different researches to upgrade buildings or units
  • you can build 5 regular walls OR 1 magic tower OR 1 scout wall (runner wall) OR 1 divinity wall (runner wall) and 2 regular walls

  • crafting items instead of only buy and sell

  • may choose to sarifice minions that are spawned after killing a builder to gain strength
  • save and load of some game statistics (items used, builders killed, etc.) - used for professional mode

Generic
  • ONLY ONE LUMBERBASE
  • slayers gain experience every second, not levels on leveling spot
  • Gold supply system: you get 100/(number of slayers in GS-area) for each kill,
    IF your slayer is in there. So not number of humans indicates how much gold you get but how good they are.
  • there are only 2 bases for 4 people (corners) so they are easy to find BUT
  • added a new base type: fusion bases, fusion bases for x people are harder to
    defend then regular bases for x people but they are all around the map and grant room for up to
    4 people, you need good teamwork for those bases
  • the humans win after 2 hours of game BUT
  • vamps are able to kill nearly every base after some time so you better build a real strong base or
    run the remaining time
  • get items for your slayer at Black Market near the GS-area, a research is needed
    to use them

Mega Wall
Advanced defense building. Has the most life, and armor. Most used Wall, good against everything but nothing special. Susceptible to Hybrids.
Ability: armor increase and spell immunity (short duration)

Mana Wall
Advanced defense building. Has the highest regeneraion. Unaffected by Vampires item abilities (such as spell resistance, armor break) but lowest life (in this case mana) pool. Used to have a higher regeneration than incoming damage. Susceptible to multiple vamps and very fast and high damage (potions).
Ability: huge regeneration bonus (very long duration)

Spike Wall
Advanced defense building. Has a percentual damage reflection but the worse regeneration - very unstable because of weaknesses against armor reduce, spell resistance - susceptible to multiple vamps and tanks - weak in early game. However, later perhabs even the best wall.
Ability: life drain (very short duration)

Scout Wall
Runner wall similar to Eta-Eye and less expensive, however consumes all defense rating.

Divinity Wall
Runner wall. Destroys itself after a 10 second duration of invulnerability. This means no feeding if played correctly but running is more difficult. Consumes 3 defense rating.

Shortcut. Evolves into any advanced wall (runner/lvl 1/lvl7). Research is still needed to upgrade. You still need to pay the costs for the lvl1/lvl7 wall

Vampire Lord
Main unit. If a Vampire Lord is killed, gold is transfered and the player is defeated. Can reveal the map, heal up to 5 allies, use wind walk like ability and stun a builder for some time.

Minion
Minion's abilities are similar to the vampire lord's but weaker. They are also not able to stun builders or slayers. instead they got the power to damage builders slightly, heal vampire lords for a moderate amount, and reduce life and destroy mana of slayers. With enough minions, vampire lords can kill every base or respectively the builder in it. Therefore they should be wiped out very fast.

Hints


Humans

General:
  • don't build a whole base in the beginning, wait for ressources
  • your strength in the beginning is to hide, vamps need time to uncover you so take places that aren't discovered very often
  • soloing a base is quite hard, team up with people
  • ideal bases consists of 3 or more people going on three different "branches":
    1. Tower
    2. Wall
    3. Slayer
  • Towers need much wood but less gold, in addition you need to have some kinds of researches e.g. black gunpowder
  • use towers that disturb your enemies: slowing against tanks, feedback against healing vamps, splash against teaming vamps, etc.
  • be shure to have a magic tower instead of a wall, it does huge amounts of damage once it is on highest level
  • Walls need less wood but much gold for researches on later levels, however you need to research those things that fits best for your wall
  • chose your advanced wall depending on the type of vamps: mega wall has no big special, its advanced ability is just an temporarily increase of armor and HP; mana walls are excellent choices against tanks because of their high regeneration and absorbed amounts, ultimate ability is a huge restoration buff for some seconds, however, has no armor; spike walls reflect damage back to the attacker, ideal against dd's, however always is one grade lower than a regular mega wall, but can drain life from the vampire with his ultimate ability
  • Slayers need some wood and gold in the beginnig, but as soon as you get gold fast enough you can send some of your ressources to the other players
  • you should always have a small reservoir of ressources and be the one who builds up lumbermines first
  • you are not as important as the other two jobs but you greatly decrease development time of your base (your job is optional, the other two are required)
  • you have to spent gold and lumber in one magic tower to improve defense of your base, in addition you can use your slayer to interrupt vampires attacking

Counter strategies:
  • 1 or more Reapers: increase builders health, don't stand near wall or try to attack vamp with your builder
  • base killer items like blood claws in the beginning : running instead of building, look for places where you have many possibilities to escape
  • catcher items in combination with base killers: be shure to leave base immediatly when discovered
    use your slayers to help out if it gets dangerous for both sides (wall and vamp at low helath, no mana)

Defense Options:
Rcommended defense builds based on walls:

1. Mana wall
  • Burst damage or high damage over time, high damage close and far combat
  • absolutely not: feedback towers
  • perhabs: splash towers, range towers
  • important: slow tower, magic tower, speed tower, arrow towers
2. Mega wall
  • moderate up to high damage over time, weakening, high damage close combat
  • absolutely not: -
  • perhabs: splash towers, range towers, arrow towers (any of them will do)
  • important: feedback towers, slow tower(s), magic tower, speed towers
3. Spike wall
  • extreme burst damage, very high damage close and high damage far combat
  • absolutely not: slow towers
  • perhabs: splash towers, range towers
  • important: magic tower, speed tower, arrow towers

It's harder for vamps to find bases but easier to destroy them than in other versions.
