I think not. You can update your description without uploading your map again.

Yay, I got it. Its human error.

Since this thread is already posted, I also want to add that sometimes when updating map with slow internet connection and clicking update, it display Web Error and after reloading the page, it displays "No description". I once had to remake a complete map description.

Yes, I did experience that. I usually save a copy of my description to avoid something like that.

Yeah after the 1st incident I always copy the map description. I think it happens 3 times to me but the last 2 incident, I was able to copied the description before updating.
