Unknown .w3x format

Hopefully this is right section to ask. I've got a slight problem with WE,after i've reinstalled wc3,all .w3x files aren't recognized and are shown as unknown apps,i tried using Open With to open it with WE,but an error occurs. I'm,however,able to open maps by running WE and then loading maps within it,but it's annoying to do it always.
So anyone knows how to make unknown .w3x files into normal,openable by double click on it?

If you right click on a w3x file, can't you select ''open with'' instead of ''open'' option? If so, just look up WE, and check the ''always open files of this type with this program'' box.

Well,read again and you will see that i wrote Open With also i checked ''always open files of this type with this program'' and still same problem.

Are you sure you reinstalled TFT as well?

Maybe you were using a different folder before you reinstalled WC3?

Oh yes...I installed wc3 in different folder now,actually in different local disk,so i guess that's the problem,but what to do?

No, Kala, this is how my Maps' folder looks:


If I double click the files, they will instantly open with World Editor.

Garfield1337, try doing so from your Control Panel -> Programs -> Default Programs (Don't know what the exact english word for the last menu is, so I just trasnlated it) and make the modifications you need.

If i doubleclick them, it will open empty map...

I havent been able to open them that way after patch 1.24e

Well, if you are trying to open custom maps that are NOT made by you then they are most likely protected and you CANNOT open them.

Im trying to open my own maps,also i can't open even melee maps.

I went to my other comp with Windows 7 and it had Programs section,but my laptop with XP doesn't
I guess i'll just install Windows 7 here too.
