UD Balancing

Whenever it is balanced depends mostly on the cost of the research, the rate at which blight can be created (Amount of blight created per cast divided by casting rate) and of the mana cost of the ability.
If you can barely create any blight then it is going to be mostly useless and if it costs too much (ex: 200 gold) nobody will research it in early game which is a nerf due to the lack of the skull (You have no army healing tool or build helper in early game).

I'm thinking 100 G, 50 wood and adding a 20 seconds research timer.

The amount of blight made by this skill is the same amount made by the skull.

The alternative from having that skill on heroes, would be to place it on Acolytes. Research time would be increased to 30 seconds, however spirit tower rushes could become a thing.
