trigger Custom Abilities & 2 problems

Okay, as many of you know I'm working on a WCIII map (obvious)
I've gotten a lot of help from Hiveworkshop already, and I'm grateful for that!

But, i've gotten 3 new problems in my map.

1. Is there any way to trigger a custom made ability by you ? Like, Order <unit> to cast Mana Drainage on <unit> ?


2. I made a Cinematic Tutorial that explains everything the map is about, but it involves showing a Worker, building a building.

I first order the unit to move to a certain location (to show the unit first) and then i order the peasant to build a structure in the middle of the region i want the building the be build. I used Pause all units in the start of the tutorial trigger, and then unpaused when the unit needed to move, and paused all units again when the construction and all the rest was completed.

When i start my map, the only thing the peasant does, is walk toward the center of a region to presentate it, and yes i can assure you, that i used the wait action between the presentation and the construction orders.


3. I'd like to know how you can play music and sound, since it would be awesome to play some suiting music when my tutorial is playing.

1) You use the thingy for whatever the spell was based on. Like if it was based on Starfall, you'd order it to Night Elf Moon Priestess - Starfall.

2) How about you just move it and then make it play its work animation, and periodically set the building's construction progress to x?

  • Sound - Play [u]Music[/u]

2. I found out that you first need to order the builder to a certain point, and then contruct a building

3. Yes but when you click on Sound or Music, there's nothing in there !!

To use WC3 sound/music you need to go to the sound editor and find the sound/music you want to use, the set its as a sound (ctrl+u), if your inporting one, just import it first, save n close your map, then reopen your map and find it in the sound editor and set it. After that, it sould show in sound/music trigger depending on which it is.

Actually you do not need to close and reopen. I can make it play sounds even without saving it first!

It will cast it, but it will do whatever animations you specified it to do in the object editor.

Umh a little problem, the construction like i said didn't work....

Oh and the sound part, i just didn't look well :eekani:

for the animation i don't know yet, because it's linked to the last contructed building !

help :x
