One Titan vs Builders:
Well, i am a good fan of tags and i have been trying to create this map idea for years. If you have ever played island defense, you know that there is a Titan and there is a team of Builders that he has to overpower.
The Titan is big and strong, while the builders are meek, and many.
It is for the Titan to destroy all Builders, and each time a Builder dies, he becomes a Minion of the Titan. The Titan feeds off of the buildings and workers of the Builders, growing stronger in doing so.
Builders must muster up the resources and rely on teamwork to build impenetrable bases to protect them and their allies from he Titan. Some builders rely on offensive tactics, other rely on building powerful towers, behind strong walls.
Powerful Builders rely on a second resource to fuel their upgrades and battle tactics. In island defense, it is Gold. Gold is obtained by taking your vulnerable(in most cases) builder, to the center of the map and mining the Gold from the Titan's Mound of Gold. Doing so alerts the Titan of your presence in his lair, and he can teleport to his mound, or render himself invisible to strike you in the back when you least expect it. Dangerous, but well worth the effort if you accumulate enough gold.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Titan against Titan against Builder (who may be against Builder)
This game, will be different in the sense that there will be two Titans, working against each other and the builders.
Also, the alliances of the Builders will be malleable, and Builders will be able to sever alliances against each other, as well as form alliances with a Titan.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Resources:
Gold: Is a primary resource of both Titans and Builders.
For Titans, gold is acquired by destroying the buildings of the Builders. For Titans, gold is used to craft items and possibly hire units to aid in the War against the Other Titan.
For Builders, gold is acquired from Gold Mines.
For Builders, gold is used to build buildings and fund researches.
-----------------
Energy: Is the secondary resource of Titans and Builders.
For Titans, energy is generated from his Energy Generator.
For Titans, energy is used to fuel powerful spells as well as imbue the Titan and his artifacts with enchantments.
For Builders, energy is stolen from the Titan's Energy Generator.
For Builders, energy is used to gain access to higher level buildings and researches.
-----------------
In a sense, the Builders produce gold while the Titan consumes it from them, and Titan produces Energy, which Builders produce from him.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Enclosed is an alpha version of the map, with plenty to work on, right now the only thing you can do is appreciate the terrain.View attachment Titanic Warfare .w3x
