They're not better. They're rips and completely destroy that classic War3-y feel Those models don't belong in War3. (well at least in my opinion)

That's a matter of opinion. Warcraft III's simple style whilst originally a product of game limitations of the time unintentionally is one of the factors that has kept it alive for so long.

yeah thanks to the modding. (or custom maps rather) how many play melee maps these days? not many. I was speaking about the graphics btw, not gameplay and such.
