We need theme ideas for Texturing Competition #4.

Skinning something into a Paladin or Priest or something would be quite interesting.

Nah paladins would be too specific.


what about Elemental?

Skin something into an element, E.G a footman into a fire footman.

Or an orc into an...ice orc.

You get the idea.

Nah we did elementals over at WC3Campaigns
It was kinda lame, the shading you need for water is atrocious
I would suggest making something into a Death Knight-esque unit

Example: My Spellbreaker skin or my Magnataur

We could do holy units, priest and paladin as examples, to broaden the possibilities some, or undead.

We convert units either into holy units/Paladins
Or Servants of Nerzhul/Death Knights
One of the two

I figured we could do Angels and Demons, making a divine and hellish version of the same unit. you could offer them more time to complete this one, seeing as it involves doing two skins. Just an idea, though.

I just liked the idea of having contrasting skins on the same unit.

A texture that tranform the unit into something spacy.. meaning something like grunt-> Space looking Grunt or other idea transforming normal units into robots / something similar.

Not what your name is, what you'd like to portray yourself as. I'd portray myself as a bloodthirsty panda. Your custom user title says ocean mystic, and your avatar looks corresponding to it, so you can do naga-ish things.

Texture a selected custom model, like the Mortar Trike for example. Basically find a really good model with good possibilities.

We could find several modelers maybe to volunteer to donate there works to be skinned.

Well I would think of choosing a model created by one of the more known people in the Warcraft Modding community, most likely one that is still around. Getting permission would most likely not be a big issue, finding the correct model will be, however.
