lol, i was just thinking about this.

what is the most HP a unit could ever ever have?

I tried one time (* when i was a noob at map making ) And got up to at least a billion ( I think )


Could it go even further ????

Level 10000 Hero.
Gain 1000 hit points per strength point.
Hero gains 20 strength points per level.
Hero starts with 1000 stregnth points
Items ( Each item has 4 Hp bonus abiltities [ each ability having 100000 added ])
he has 6 of those items.

to much math to figure out, but that must be at least a trilllion.

10000x(20x1000)+(1000x1000)+6(4x100000)
10000 x 20000 + 1000000 + 2400000
200000000 + 1000000 + 2400000
203,400,000

2,000,000,000 is 2 billion.

how do you get out
203,400,000 ? It has 1 less decimal place

The most hp you could probably get is 2,147,483,647. No, those aren't random numbers. That is the most a long variable can be in coding.

This is correct for 32 bit variables, the variables used in warcraft 3, so it'd sound logical if this IS the limit.
However, I'm quite sure 1 000 000 032 is the actual maximum HP a unit can actually have. Don't know why, but it seems hardcoded.
