Hello.
The Exodus of Gilneas is a map base on a time in Gilneas where humans and worgens were still a mix in the population and anarchy was starting to rise. Your goal in this map, which might be turned into an ORPG in the future, is to progress and get to a higher level with your hero, as well as get better items. I hope to include Professions in a later version of the game, however the map has barely reached its alpha stages.

When you start off in the map the camera is set to a third person view of the camera. Your hero remains at the bottom middle of your screen, giving you that third-person view, while the camera is set to a good altitude allowing for fairly smooth gameplay.

Here is an overhead view of Gilneas (through the Map Editor) :

Your hero starts out in that fenced-in area at the bottom right part of Gilneas.

The first thing you should notice are the Water Ring effects that are so well expressed over water.

There are no enemies in that part of the map and there is a Market Square near the middle where you can buy potions or health/mana stones

Once you are ready to get started, you are to move your hero to the end of the fenced-in area where you will find bandits. Kill them for experience and gold.

Once you have reached level 5 you will want to go up the hill next to you...

And into the War Hall

Just walk right into the door and you'll be teleported instantly to the indoor part of the building!

Inside the building there will be 3 representatives behind the fence; one at each side of the building except for the entrance. There is a representative trying to recruit people to help defend Gilneas, a representative from Duskwood trying to recruit people to help the Nightbane tribe, and there is a representative from Silverpine Woods trying to recruit people to help the Moonrage Clan which is stationed primarily in Pyrewood Village.

Currently, the only place players can transport to from the "War Keep" is Silverpine Forest, specifically in Pyrewood Village. In the picture below, the door to the left is the exit for the Keep and the magic effect to the right is the teleporter that will teleport you to silverpine.

Pyrewood Village (your home town in Silverpine) is made up of 2 parts, a large area for trading and a large area for war which you pass by before going outside of the town. The picture below shows you what you will see when you enter the town. The path to the left takes you to the 'war' section of town and outside while the right path takes you to the trading region of town.

Lets take a look at the trading section of town.

To the left of the entrance is a Pyrewood Weaponsmith and a Pyrewood Armorsmith, who you can buy weapons/armor from.

If you keep going down from there you will see the Marketplace, which you can buy potions and health/mana stones from.

There is also a Warmill and a Tavern which will have future use.

Now when you go back the way you came and take the other path you'll enter the 'war' section of Pyrewood Village.

The leader of the defence of the village, Grimson, is going to be a quest giver in the future.

If you keep heading down the path youll find the exit of the village, which is currently just a spawning area for some enemies to kill for experience.

If you go back the way you came and turn into the area that you were originally teleported to youll find a portal that will teleport you back to the keep in Gilneas

Right now I just need a partner... someone who will be dedicated to this map who can do triggers, work on getting resources (specifically attachment models), make items, and make spells. I am already doing this but its too much for me to do on my own. My partner should also be able to work on the map as a whole. Most importantly, this map is based on worgen in Pre-TBC, meaning no Cataclysm crap, so an understanding of things in Silverpine Woods and Duskwood (from oldschool WoW) will be important. Even if you don't undertstand it much.. as long as you know what it is your good.

Thanks for viewing, and even if you weren't looking for a map to work on I hope you enjoyed my showcase (although the water rings look a hell of a lot better in game :p )
