I've been wondering for a while now. So I post this question here on this site full of smart trolls.

The core is a hot ball. Where does that heat come from?

And how does it maintain it?

Can it be pressure? No. If it is, then everything underground is burning too.

How about shared combustion(inform me if it is the wrong term for it). If one part of the core is burning, it burns what's next to it. So maintained burning. But if that's so, then everything underground is burning too.

Thoughts? Bah, I'll share some facts.

The heat derives from when the earth was first formed and comingled, and it maintains it by the friction from core material being pulled towards the core's center, and
from radioactive compounds breaking down, generating heat.

The heat of the Earth's core comes from the heat of sun.
Heat is absorbed by Earth.
So the core of the Earth becomes hot over-time.
This was taught by my physics and geography teachers.

if not, they also absorb the heat from the sun why don't they have living cores?
