This is the wrong forum. This forum is if you require assistance with the World Editor.

Now the right forum should probably be the Map Development section.

Uh, the tile variation and tile choices look terrible. Ice tiles and fire tiles and well most tiles except snow and grass and shit look really bad when there's a lot of them. Try to use like 5 tiles per zone. At least 3. NewGen editor allows you to have like 25 tiles in your map.

:O i like that... like that one rpg... what is it? like ragnorock or sumthing....... but should each be an epic map :/ if so thats guna take a while....
ewwff, it just hit me.... i would have to make them ALL at the same time.... for any save load code to work they need to be the same, because items items would be added to each map made. and all the items would need to be in ALL the maps.... though i still thing teh idea is great :D (i might just go for it anyway)

that's no big deal, you can import all the junk from one map into another.

What everyone is saying is pretty spot on, but if you want to include different areas of vastly different terrain types on the one map you could just separate the areas by blocking them off (strategically and eye pleasingly of course) and just have entrances and exits to the areas via instant-move rects. This would make it flow like an oldschool (the best kind) of rpg where one zone is completely cut off from the next except via specific points, and it'll also allow you to scale the different areas for different level caps (ie. > level 10 can't enter the snow region basically because it's just too damn dangerous), increasing the replayability as newbs just can't free roam the entire map in their first go... they'll need to work for it.

i do like the ideah of compleatly blocking them off, but i also enjoy them wehre they are COMPLEATLY open.... even when they are open, u still go through lvled beasts to get there, so in a scense it is still blocked off >.>
and on a side note-its just fun to watch sum noob get ALL the way across a map to leech..and they die :D its hilarious (unless ur the noob leeching then it sux)

and it is easy to copy and past and well... i guesss i could just modify and original map, making all the things i need in it stay and deleting everythign else so i know there the sme..... but then i would need to up date the previous versions when a new one is made >.> and the codes will be reset

OR do u guys know any save systems that dont totally reset codes when new data is inputed :/
