Bruh, chill.

People are busy and have lives- I don't know why I took this request honestly- I just got off work and need to head my other job soon- and I really should have worked on my own project- but instead here I am helping you.

So I did only the three models I had clicked on- If you like the results- Then I can give them to you and teach you under the conditions that I can write a short tutorial that would benefit both you and whoever wants to add TC to their model in an easy way that gets pretty decent results (unless one tutorial like this already exists...?)

The 'Colony' model actually has a 2nd TC 'ring' around the stack that unfortunately you can't see in the pic because of the way i had angled the in-game camera/ my snapshot program (looking back- I wished I had colored the 'slime' but whatever (also why don't you use the big slime geoset in any of that model's animations? It's a shame!))

EDIT: Be aware that the issues with this TC method are:

1. that it essentially relies on a geoset based recoloring rather than texture based (but if you figure it out yourself you can color mostly whatever you want to be TC rather than having me guess what you may want)
2. That Player 9 (Grey)'s coloring will be very close to the original model rather than actually grey. I remedy this in my own map with a trigger that changes all of player 9's units' color to black (neutral coloring) because who wants to play as grey anyway when you can be black!

Also the Forgotton One's eyes are also TC- but it's again hard to see in the pic. Sorry, bad pic is bad.

What are you doing differently to make TC? Isn't it just having 2 material layers on a given geoset, wrapped with a matching texture (has to have alpha'd portions)?

Omg. Best tutorial ever. Seriously though, where were you a few months ago when this was (and still is) a novel concept too me? I had the hardest time.

Yeah- it's just a specific material with TC above and normal texture with 'modulate' below. No alpha'd portions needed! It works a lot better in some cases because you don't have to rewrap models UV's. And it preserves the underlying texture so it doesn't look too weird for bigger sections. The only catch is that it works best with textured areas that are light otherwise you'll have tinted colors.

Just detach the desired TC areas as geosets in MDLVis and attach the correct material and bam- instant TC.
(To anyone reading who doesn't get what I'm talking about just comment and I can elaborate)
