Description: Anora is the child of Calina Tealisha, a elven sorceress of the long and forgotten Mage Circle.
Already at an early age, Anora showed signs of magic ability and her mother decided to send her of to the Mage Academy. Anora learned quickly and at the age of 20 she knew the basics of how to focus magic, draw energy from the mind and how to control arcane powers.
As the years passed by, Anora learned more and more, but at the age of 29 Anora received terrible news, her mother had died. At first, Anora was deeply depressed and grieved her mothers’ death, but when she found out that she’d been murdered she went furious. She began her first combat training both with sword and spells. And after three years, she felt ready to hunt down the assassin that once murdered her mother. As she left the academy, her fellow masters gifted her with a magical staff, Iona.
At first, finding any traces about the murderer was near impossible, but as she dug deeper into the corruption of the underground, she finally found a trace leading to the murderer. Months later, she tracked him down and found out that he was an assassin-for-hire and if she spared his life, he would give her all information she needed to find the leader behind the assassination. She agreed and the man explained that the man who had hired him led a group of “magic haters” and they did what they could to keep mages silent. When she had all the information she needed, she did what no one had expected, she paralyzed the assassin and rumours says that the assassin spent his last breath in agonizing pain as Anora twisted his mind with foul arcane spells.
Years passed by as Anora tracked this “mage hater”, but with less success. During this time however, Anora found out why they had murdered Calina. She had found a “source of magical power that was beyond imagination”. Anora began to dig further into what her mother had found and she found Calinas’ diary. There she explained a place called “The Nexus”, but Calina hadn’t found this place, all she had was an old book, describing this old, sacred place. The book however, was written in The Old Elven Tongue, so Anora spent years translating it. Slowly she forgot about the “mage hater” and spent all her time with the book.
As she returned to the Academy, eight years later, she had fully translated the book and by now she had only one thing on her mind, to find this place called ‘The Nexus’. She began looking through every book in the Academies library, but these books proved to be rare, very rare. In the whole library she found but one book that contained some information about ‘The Nexus’, but most of it was already stated in the book found by her mother.
When the library wasn’t enough, she began to travel through the lands, meeting up with other mages, sorceresses and other magic-knowing beings that claimed to know about ‘The Nexus’. During the first years of her travels, she went to many old and forgotten ruins, hoping to find something about ‘The Nexus’, but she rarely found anything. But on her tenth year of travelling, she found and old underground temple. Together with a little band of hired arms, she ventured deep in to this temple and stumbled across a small dragon. This dragon, Yepal, greeted them with great respect, despite that everyone in the band drew arms, everyone expect Anora. Anora greeted him with the same respect and asked the dragon what he did in this old temple. At first, the dragon hesitated, but then it claimed that he guarded something sacred and as he spoke these words Anora asked him:
“
Do you know anything about ‘The Nexus’, Lord Yepal?”
Yepal asked what her business with ‘The Nexus’ was, and as she explained why she wanted its power, he saw the purity in her soul and that she said nothing but the truth.
“
Young sorceress, opening this door won’t get you closer to what you seek, but it will help you the day you reach your goal...” Yepal said with a sad voice as he turned around to open the door. “
As I open this door, I will perish. Centuries ago, I was bound to guard this treasure ‘till the day I fall in battle or until a being with a pure heart would seek what I guard. And I guess that day is today…” Yepal said with a mournful voice. These were the last words spoken before he opened the door and just as he said, he perished. But from the dusts of his remains, a jet was formed. Unaware of what power this gem would have, Anora carefully picked up the strangely warm gem, she then ventured into the chamber. Well inside, she saw small altar, upon it she found an old heavy book and a magnificent dagger with a strange engraving on the blade. It was written in The Old Elven Tongue and simply said “Nox”. The book as well, was written in The Old Tongue, and shortly after this she returned to the Mage Academy to translate the book.
During the time when she translated this book, she did a whole lot of travelling, but just as the years before, she didn’t have any luck and didn’t find out anything new about ‘The Nexus’. Ten more years passes by as Anora tries to translate the book and travels to many vast areas of the world, but without any greater success. But at the age of 60, Anora meets a fellow sorceress under the name Ziva. They quickly get to know each other as they’re both looking for the same thing, ‘The Nexus’. For more than three years they share all the information they’ve gathered about ‘The Nexus’ and learns a lot from each other. And for a few years after that, Anora and Ziva set out to find out more about their obsession.
More than five years passes by as they search for ‘The Nexus’, but during this they don’t find anything outside the ordinary and Ziva, 20 years older than Anora, lost fate in finding ‘The Nexus’ and a few months later Anora and Ziva were separated because of Zivas’ doubt to find this sacred place. Deeply depressed because of the parting with the only close friend Anora ever have had, she mournfully returns to the academy once again, and stays there for three years, trying to translate the old book from the ruins.

OOC
71 years old is nothing for an immortal being, right..? :S
I mean, that's still really young, right?
I really tried to put some "love" into this character, but the story didn't even NEARLY end up as I wanted it to

But I'm going to read through a few pages of text now, and my eyes are already bleeding!
