Take away Ads?

Hello, i have an idea for profiles on hive. Like many people, i have Dial-up and i am a regular hive user, but unfortunately sometimes Hive doesn't load all the way because my browser had to load the adds. Is it possible to make an option in the UserCP to disable ads when browsing? If there is one i just cant seem to find it, but if there isn't I think it would be very helpful.

If you use Firefox, you can easily disable ads if you have the Adblock Plus extension installed.

Thanks, but i have aol too unforunately and the only thing that stops is pop-ups. I will look into that though.

The adds are there for a reason I would like to remind people...
Ralle is just a student so the revenue from the adds does help cover the cost of keeping a highspeed 24/7 server like this running for you to interact with for free.

On the other hand, maybe people who have donated could get an "add exemption" status (afterall they have given money directly) as one of the benifits (like chat colour and stuff).

Yea its not the problem with the ads its that my internet sucks and im just looking for a way to make it more convenient.

Yeah I see no problem with people who have slow internet block the ads. But I'd prefer people having them on.

Those are just small pictures. If you want to speed up the loading use the black/white index.

Never knew about that.

Personally i've removed the top add and let the others be.

How did you remove the top ad? thats the one that seems to be the problem when loading.
