Hello,
I'm making a remaster of Civ Wars and for those who played it, you should know that you don't control units.
They are automatically spawn and they automatically fight for you on the map.
So, now I'm looking for a way to create a unit called "Dog Master" who will act a bit like the Swarm Host and who will stay behind other unit and spawn units (dog) over time to fight for him.

For those who never played sc2

There are a dozen ways to do this. By far the easiest way to keep them from rushing forward is to just give them a ranged attack. You can also base their dog summon ability off a summon that will be used by the AI (spirit wolves or water elemental should work). There are also more complicated things you can do with periodic triggers and such to explicitly spawn them, but well, they're more complicated.

Okay, tell me if I can do that with GUI
For example, I give a ranged attack to my Dog Master, with range 1000 (random number) that deals 0 damages
With trigger, when Dog Master attacks, make it uses Summon Dog ability

Am I right?

That should work (and even will if you give the ability a cooldown). In fact, if the units are computer owned, they should cast the Summon Dog ability automatically when they're in combat (meaning no triggers at all).
