I Imported some spells on my map, and when I cast one, it triggers another, maybe because they are based on the same skill... is there a way I can chance this w/o having to create another skill base?
Have you tried to change the Text - Order String - Use/Turn On field of your ability?
If the ability is based off channel you can also try to change the Base ID which is used to cast the spell (there is a object editor field specifically for the channel ability in this case.)
If none of the above can work for you then might have to recreate them unfortunately.
There is no way of changing the actual Base ID of an ability that is already created. (If you press control + D inside the object editor you can see the RAW code and Base ID of your ability)
This however I might be unsure of. If there is anyone who hacked around in their w3x maps with an MPQ editor to do just this thing? Please respond.
If you change this field in any of the abilities, nothing happens.
The actual thing would work is that if the ability is based from Channel (or Charge Gold and Lumber).

I should probably read up on that, I thought it had something to do with the order string used for whenever you trigger the ability. I'll look it up, my mistake.
EDIT: Ah, it can be used for checking wether a unit has activated autocast for the ability. I see now.
Just use Channel as a base ability, it's the best choice in 90% of the cases.
There are about 250 (don't know the exact value) different base ID's, so each hero can have 250 abilities (near-impossible) and there still wouldn't be an order conflict.
