I Imported some spells on my map, and when I cast one, it triggers another, maybe because they are based on the same skill... is there a way I can chance this w/o having to create another skill base?

Have you tried to change the Text - Order String - Use/Turn On field of your ability?

If the ability is based off channel you can also try to change the Base ID which is used to cast the spell (there is a object editor field specifically for the channel ability in this case.)

If none of the above can work for you then might have to recreate them unfortunately.

There is no way of changing the actual Base ID of an ability that is already created. (If you press control + D inside the object editor you can see the RAW code and Base ID of your ability)
This however I might be unsure of. If there is anyone who hacked around in their w3x maps with an MPQ editor to do just this thing? Please respond.

If you change this field in any of the abilities, nothing happens.
The actual thing would work is that if the ability is based from Channel (or Charge Gold and Lumber).

Yes, you would have to recreate them :/

I should probably read up on that, I thought it had something to do with the order string used for whenever you trigger the ability. I'll look it up, my mistake.

EDIT: Ah, it can be used for checking wether a unit has activated autocast for the ability. I see now.

Not just Auto-cast, it's all types of orders (including ability's order: Instant/Target-unit/Target-point).

But in this case, IssuedOrder is not the problem, therefore, he really need to recreate the base spell :/

Fortunately, recreating base spell is much more easier than recreating base trigger, don't you think ?

Depends on the trigger ofcourse. Plus the amount of objects you need to recreate...

It is not the matter of conflicting same base spell for all units in the map, it's just the matter of conflicting same base spell for a single unit.

You can have same base spell for 2 units but you cannot have same base spell for a single unit as it will trigger for both (may confuse the trigger).

You just need to change the base spell for a single unit, that's it.

The most common spell is Channel (not channeling, okay ?).

As I said, it's easy to change base spell, rather than changing base trigger.
