1) Enable Multiplayer Game Cache !!!!! at least for Lan if not for battlenet.
2) Add support for advanced shaders and real time shadows and bump textures.

3) add walls and gates (i know you can mod it on the worldbuilder but come on they can do it better)
4) make the AI use ships and transports to attack and expand ther base on islands
5) allow players to sell items to other players from ther inventory (for rpg maps)

1. Well, that's a buzzkill for Multiplayer Save Load Systems, but hey, it's worth it.
2. That would need some additional spec I assume.

3. Neat for Melee maps.
4. Well, you got Warcraft 2 for that, but everyone's been wishing that a lot. So yeah, a good one for the list.
5. I don't know, just that Warcraft wasn't RPG as it's basis...
