there are triggers for all those things, take a look at the tirggers play with them for a while til you get used to it, modeling is another thing, it takes quite some time to learn or to use it effectively, AI setting is just how can you do it, there are many ways, depending on user.

Hi There!

You Said: I need lot of help with triggers and camera settings

I say: There is not fast and easy way to learn how to use triggers. It takes time and experimentation and opening up those maps that are offered which are not "protected" and see how other folk do stuff.

It also will require using the search function and/or going through posts in GUI and JASS trigger forums reading the issues others have had and reading the help they have gotten.

It is a process of education.

My Advice: I suggest you start of with a "small" map. Start of using the Melee triggers, such as the one used to start the AI for computer players.

Then you set up two teams, a player (usually red) and an enemy - lets say blue. From there you add on to the triggers trying different things. Once you start reading through events and conditions and actions you get a decent idea of how things work. If you have specific questions, then come back here and start at thread. If it is about a trigger it should be in the trigger forums and you can copy as text and post it inside the trigger element that you click above on the post.

Hint it is the Gog
It will read:
TRIGGER
and
/TRIGGER

Both are enclosed in brackets.

You will get something like this: EXAMPLE SUPPLIED:

  • Ship Cine1 C
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit enters Cine1 c <gen>
    • Conditions
      • (Entering unit) Equal to Ship Cinematic 0631 <gen>
    • Actions
      • Unit - Order Ship Cinematic 0631 <gen> to Move To (Center of Cine1 a <gen>)
      • Trigger - Turn off (This trigger)
Then everyone can argue about how to actually do this, where it leaks and most likely will point you to Tutorials that are relevant to your question.

Again, it takes time to learn these things.

You Said: I don't know how to open gates and i can't make cinematic's

I say: There are triggers for this. The ones you need would be an Action trigger found under Destructibles:

  • Destructible - Open City Entrance 1859 <gen>
Trigger functions, events, conditions and actions are broken down simply. In the case above it starts of with the word Destructible This means when you right click on your trigger selecting "New Action" and hit D the group called Destructible will come up, you might have to hit D a few times to get the right trigger. Clicking on the scroll down arrow to the right of the data window will reveal far more triggers of that category and what comes after Destructible (dialog)

To use such as the open trigger it is intuitive. adding the function will provide you with blue text or red text. Blue text is selectable (multiple choice) in this case it would be Open or Close. Red text prompts you to select an object (in this case your gate) Click on the red and you have several choices. Play with it, figure it out.

Cinematics (you will have to hit c several times since Comment and Cameras come before Cinematic) are a combination of cameras, ordering units around. It is really not too complex, but to write you a cinematic would take up a lot more posting (And trust there are some who are reading this post and getting a bit miffed by its length).

My Advice still stands - play around.

You Said: Also i need help with how to create models and how to make Ai settings.

I say: Creating models is a little more advanced then creating triggers. Further you need secondary programs to create those models in a format that is usable with WCIII. I dare say you should wait a tad until you have learned the basics of Triggering before you spend time and energy learning all of those programs that you will need to make models - and model animation.

As for AI - you really shouldn't need a whole new "AI" system - your triggers will, for the most part, do most things. And AI is several steps above simple triggering and should be lower on your list of things to learn.

My Advice - stick with triggering, get that down, then progress to editing the AI.

After all you still have to learn how to edit objects, how to import stuff, how to make a cinematic, how to open and close gates on command - AI requires far much more.

And once you do get to the point where you will want to actually learn how to make an AI, you will have discovered JASS and be well on the way to learning a whole new language.
