Mage towers are the mysterious places where the reclusive arcanists and conjurers can work in privacy and store their valuable laboratories and libraries. This is the mystic place where magic is taught. These strange and mysterious workers of magic are a reclusive lot, and place themselves above the law in many ways. They demand absolute secrecy and privacy for their studies, and so require their own domicile.
This Stormwind-themed mage tower is a ported model from the Battle for Azeroth Stromgarde Warfront. It has been remade for use in Warcraft 3: Reforged as a replacement for the Arcane Sanctum. The rest of the Stormwind-themed building replacement roster for Reforged is forthcoming.
This model includes animations for birth, stand, stand-build, death, decay, and portrait. There are quite a few textures but the goal of this project will ultimately be to have as many shared textures between the roster as possible, thereby reducing the number of imported files per model if more models are installed. There will be future updates for this model, including a custom icon. It is fully functional as a melee building or a campaign structure. You could also use it as a doodad for an RPG map.
UPDATE:
4/4/2023 - Recalculated normals and tangents, improving texture and normal fidelity. Further updates forthcoming.
4/5/2023 - Optimized the textures, reducing filesize greatly. Uploaded a new icon. Deleted loose vertices (further reducing filesize by nearly 1/3).
Intended to be used in Warcraft 3: Reforged. Please credit Blizzard if you use this model. If you would like to also credit Symphoneum for porting the model, that is ok, too. Ported using Twilac's Blender addon, GIMP, Krita, Materialize and Retera's Model Studio 0.42b, 0.5 3, and 0.5 7.

I definitely went back and forth on that one. But since the model itself and all the textures are 100% WoW, it felt wrong to claim sole ownership. I'm glad it was a success, though!
