Author's notes:

The reason why I think that this map is unique is, because it has very little cliffs. Cliffs are mostly used to create a boundary.
So that why I only used them around the starting position and at the two observatories.
The idea of using almost no cliffs, is to get the steppe effect.
I playtested it myself a couple of times and I must say that it's a nice map to play.
The best ways to play this map is 2v2 and FFA. The map is just too big for 1v1...

Enjoy!

Gameplay
The item drops seems balanced enough. Personally I like the big chance of powerups. The creep camps are also balanced. The harpy camps might be a little cramped, having the laboratory in the middle of the plateau. You could try moving this back toward the cornor of it.

The players starting locations are balanced and equal. The gold expansions have a big amount of gold, allowing the map to only contain one expansion per player. However, the expansion is in a pretty vulnerable location, as the only thing protecting it is trees. If they go down, there is nothing but desert for a big radius around it.

The description is short and informative, which is good for a melee map. I would suggest replacing the screenshots as they show the gameplay of a melee game, which isn't really very informative of the map. Everybody here knows how that looks like already. I would rather like to see an overview and terrain screenshots.

The maps look is kind of plain, but still interesting. Considering the low amount of doodads you have put in, it is truly a good job to make it as good looking as it is now. I like how smooth the map is, with a few exceptions for the well placed cliffs and water holes. However, the map could still use more decoration. You could try adding rocks or some other doodad to make the cliff pits look more alive, and addding more doodad groups by the edges of the forests.

The tile variation could be improved.

Summary
A melee map with a pretty plain terrain, not allowing many high-ground advantages. The creep camps are well balanced with fitting rewards. The terrain is decent, with a few special touches.

Approved with a rating of 3/5.
