I think this can be done with under a hundred vertices, please try to reduce their number.

And I don't use 3dsmax anymore. The grid is great, but its geoset work is messy.

no i think he just create a Circle and Start Extruding, I don't use 3DS Max so I don't know how... to create a Circle with 8 vertex (In 3ds Max)
