I'm new to the spell creation thing and I was just wondering if there is a simple way to change a spells color. For example, I want to make mana burn use red/orange bolts of lightning instead of the greenish color. Or, if I wanted to change the color of the ice that falls down with blizzard to red. Is there any way to do this? Thanks in advance =)

or.... just change the lightning effects from "mana burn" to "Finger of Death", etc...

To create new lightnings you will need to create a new skin and then simply add the new created lightning to the correct SLK data. Umm... it sounds too generic so check this out:

And as for other models, this is a modelling/skinning question. To change color you may need to change the skin, but sometimes it won't be enough. In some cases, you'll need to mess up with the model as well. Have a nice day!

Well...its not that it sounds like a lot of work..its just that I've learned so much in a little time and I think I might 'brain fry' if I mess with that so I'll just stick to spell making rather than spell coloring. Thanks though guys! and thanks for the spell tutorial Daelin! I just read through it and tried out the Shock Destructor..but it doesn't work =(
(not sure how to get the direction to be facing 0.00 degrees)
