I am trying to add a custom ability in my map the Corrupted TD much like the Spirit Link from dota (it links enemies).

I've figured out how to do this and all but now I'm trying to make it so a player can turn it off or on wether it does it automaticly. (it is a passive ability on a tower).

I use channel and triggers to remove/add different abilities to know if a unit wants it on or off. Problem, is no triggers (boolean) can tell if a unit has a specific ability (as far as I can see).

Can anyone tell me how to make a passive Spirit Link that links enemies and can be turned on/off?

As far as I understood (I played DotA once in my life before like 4 years...) you want the tower to just cast it ?

Then whats the problem in making a On ability, and a Off ability, and when a unit casts On it adds your passive ability, and when a unit casts Off it removes your passive ability ? :weekani:

Oh I thought you said you did make it into a passive ability.
You could make another passive ability (a aura would be the easiest) and then check if the tower has a buff, not the attacked unit.

If it would be the attacked unit, it would probably be very slow or buggy.

You can also make the players to be unable to see that aura in the units skills menu with a disabled spell book.

  • Player - Disable Spell Book for Player 1 (Red)
Located in the Player actions.
