Spearman Lordaeron

Spearman of Lordaeron armed with a spear of the highest quality and large shield, used in the army of the Alliance.


Attention
Please do not forget to change the name of the portrait, as the name of the portrait must be identical to the model name + _Portrait at the end. For example: model "Footman Lordaeron_Medium_L" then his portrait should be such "Footman Lordaeron_Medium_L_Portrait". If there is at least one difference from the model name portrait will not work.

Update:

22.07.2019 Last UPDATE
- The symbol "L" is displayed correctly from any angle ( For the cinematic )
- Changed the geometry of the medium armor
- Removed unused materials and textures

P.S. I made this update so that the models with Lordaeron symbols used in the videos were displayed correctly and were always visible regardless of the camera.
Also in the future I will be guided by the same principle for new models.

It's a nice model. If you would allow me a constructive feedback, try reduce the swing in the attack animation. A back to forward movement of the spear, with less swing would be more realistic. :)

The wait was worhty :)

The attack animation is a bit weird, it does a lill swing like if he may be using a sword or mace, maybe a straight fortward "piercing" would fit better.

If you want some new and different ideas for your cool Lordaeron Roster, i suggest you to create this: Lordaeron Royal Guard. They are seen protecting Terenas Menethil in Warcraft campaign. And look really unique and badass imo. Would like to see them modeled with ur great skills.

Yeah, i know, i currently use his model:

Guardsman

But it moves a bit weird. And i really like how @Asssssvi makes his models, thats why i said "i would like to see them modeled with ur great skills".

There were already models of spearman lordaeron footman and spearman, and i was using them in my map, but i removed them to put assvi ones in, cause look and move much cooler.

Use the size you think is better, i trust you. I just want the "blue shield with lordaeron sigil in the middle" u have been always using, i like it and i like the units to share it to "give feeling of being part of an army". If one of them is a bit larger os smaller shouldnt matter at all :)

Ñeh (yes, im spanish xD). I like more ur previous full blue shield With sigil in the middle. Looks much clear ingame, where the units are small and seen from afar. Also fits more warcraft infantry style.

Stefan K. has a pretty good attack animation for his spearman, if you check it out, his spearman has a nice body move when attack animation is done. Basically, his whole body moves ''into'' the attack, not just the arm and it results in a much more dinamic visual, if you get what I want to say. Try to test the same with this model, maybe it turn out good, im not sure. Just an idea :)

Is not a blame, everyone has different tastes. But i prefer a warcraftish unit like asssvi cool ones, than "other kind of units" like stefan does. Also, is great asssvi to have "another style", that allow us to have 2 different styles to pick from, depending on what each one of us prefer.

Assssvi as personal suggestion: you have uploaded few models, but they are all awesome and of high quality, you are a newbie but your skill is alread among the best of this forum, so please, dont try to be a cheap copycat of other old modelers, be yoruself, keep your style, improve further and keep bringing us your glorius and fresh untis (like ur crossbowman) instead of trying to copy or follow the style and work of other people, wich, in most cases, have already been worse than what you have already achieved.

Heh, I'm not going to copy the animations, I just do not know how xD. Perhaps you are right, I should maintain my style, not always doing as other people want, but listen to the advice of the community. And temnemenee, the attack animations need a little work (a little bit).

PD: Yes, is really nice how u listen us and try to improve. The only thing i wanted to say is that "keep improving ur stuff, but dont change it to look like other guys stuff". Cause surely, urs is better :). Like with this spearman for example, ur animation may need a bit work, but i prefer u to improve it a bit (like u did making it more "straight forward attack") than to make it look more like stefan k (or direfury).
