Sounding Younger

Anyone know of any programs that'll easily change the pitch of something without making it go fast?

Or at least tell me how to use audacity... there are so many things under the effects or whatever menu it's not even funny.

In audacity, select the audio segment to be adjusted, then go to the effects menu and select "Change Pitch".


Alternatively, you could just talk really, really slow and pump up both settings

WavePad has a change pitch/retain speed option.

But realistically, you can only change pitch a little before it sounds tinny or otherwise horrible.

The program does not have a limited trial. I have had it for years now, and it still works perfectly. The trial end only disables a few features nobody ever used.

Don't be put off. It IS a trial, but the trial doesn't lock anything you'll ever actually need.

Okay, the only scenario in Audacity that this will work in is that you're using a recording seperated from the actual sound file.

The thing you need to do is edit the Pitch by about +4.63-6.95% to get the best type of "younger" pitch.

Then depending on which level of percentage you raised it by, round that number and take about 2 times of it, then divide that by 3 and add that to your speed.

That should make you sound younger.
