I'm a man of few words but this time of the year always gets to me so I ended up writing something and feel like sharing it. Enjoy before i decide to scrap it.

Winter Night's Dream

The air freezes as time stands still,
the cold wind breezes as blue tears spill.
And there I stand, amidst trees oaken,
Alone and aloof, alone and broken.

Memories fill the mind, of a time long past,
sorrow fills the heart, of a love old and vast.
And where is she now, where has she flown,
what does she feel, is she, too, alone?

Alas my dream is broken by distant wolven howls,
The daylight dims, the winter night now falls.
Yet there I stand, amidst trees oaken,
Alone and cold, clutching a dear token.

Hope fills the mind, frozen tears fall to the snow,
Warmth fills the heart, I shan’t forget, I shan’t forgo.

I don't exactly know why you'd want to scrap this because it's very very good. It's kind of rare to see "old english" or this style around as often as it used to be.
