Smooth edges of the mesh

Hello. This can be possible to smooth this sharp edges of this mesh (see image) ? Maybe add a alpha texture, but in which way and how, which tricks to use?

Gonna need a better description.
What's the problem here?
Maybe upload the model to let us see what's the problem?

I mean, smoothing edges of a mesh basically mean adding more vertices in between.
It's pretty easy to do in blender using the multiresolution or subdivision surface modifiers.

Edges can be seen and we can see ugly "ladder" on this pic:

And i am trying to achieve model like this:

So, i think even if i increase polygons of this eye anyway the edges will seen as texture on this model will be animated. Seems like this is impossible to do on old war3 graphics due to lack of a specific smoothing render\shader or something like that...

P.S. There is a possibility to make an alpha smoothed texture like this by using blend filtration:

So i just wondered if i can do something with this, like combine 2 textures in one, or smooth edges with this way, but this seems not a possible or not an actual way to do so...

Okay, I totally get what you mean now.
Might wanna change the title slightly to smooth edges of animated texture.

Using an animated texture, you want to make it fade as it goes closer to the edges.
Kinda like this one.

And as far as I know, I haven't been able to do it, so can't help you here.

But don't take my word for it.
If you ever find out, tell me :D

You could try to PM those guys that make really good VFX here on Hive if they know of any workarounds, but I don't.

Unless, of course, you're not refering to animated texture.
In that case, just edit the texture in your favourite image processor.

Yea, you got my point, but seems even if smooth texture i will be get a result as on
10:21, where you can see that texture goes to edge and this edges becomes visible for us, because my mesh kinda like this plane, and texture moving from edges to center, not roundness one...
