Just wanted some critique for this sketch that I'll be using for a map.

Pretty sweet. His torso seems rather slim compared to his shoulders, and I think you should lower his arms (or rather, lower the shoulders), as he seems to have them displaced. It's hard to judge by the perspective, but I think the helmet might be a bit too small as well.

Well, I think the shoulders are not correct in terms of anatomy, however by lowering the shoulders you would decrease the feeling of strenght that is given by his massive bodys and huge shoulders and the position aswell. I guess that would be contraproductive. So I would keep the shoulders the way they are, even if they are not correctly placed in terms of anatomy! However... The arms are to short, speaking of the upper part, you should enlarge this and decrease the angle between Humerus and Radius and Ulna....
so that you can give him the same position of the hands at the sword but correct the anatomy of his arms aswell.!
(especially the left side [his right arm] needs to be enlarged! )
