Here's my request

I know absolutely nothing about modeling, and/or model texturing.
So I need someone to help me attach a certain skin to a certain model.

Here's my dilemma:
I customized Marine by enlarging his head to make it look like a helmet.
The helmet is pretty decent, but I don't want the marine's face to show,
So I edited the skin by painting over his face. The paint color would be
Sky-Blue.
I know a little bit about the colors that warcraft can only read.
(The 24-bit thing)
I converted it once, but then the Team color turns to white, which I don't
really want.
So I'm asking anyone, who can attach the skin to my model like any regular
model. To clarify, to make the path Textures/SpaceMarine.blp so that when I
import the Texture into the game along with my customized model, the skin won't overwrite the current existing texture, of which is the normal Marine model.
EDIT: I've also tried looking for a way on how-to do this.
If you know where to find it, post the link and you will be given kudos.
EDIT: Sorry, I forgot to attach.

Kudos to whoever helps me.
Kudos = Rep

A request gone unheard?

Lately I haven't had any help at all. I think it's about time I pull out this request.
But since some of you may just be very busy, I'll wait a few more weeks.
If nothing happens, I'll pull this Marine Project out, and no one will receive REP points.
This is easy rep, I don't understand why no one is going to try.

Heyo! :p

ok, i will do it. :D
just pay attention because i simplely will edit this post.
Bye! :D

EDIT: Here it is:
213eng0.jpg

Well your problem was the skin. For some reason, when you save it as 24 bits bmp its doesnt work fine. So, i made it as .Tga and after I converted it into Blp.
Also, i edited the skin to make the Helmet look more like a helmet, a simple edit.
And i reworked the Wrapp of the Marine face, to make the new skin fits.
Now, the path for the skin is simple "NexusMarine.blp" so, you can also use the Blizzard Marine in your map.
Good luck in your project. Bye! :D

Thank you Xezko, you've helped alot.
EDIT: Actually, it works when you view it with War3 Model editor, but doesn't work in World Editor. Is there a certain way the name of the blp should go? Ive tried NexusMarine.blp, it didnt work, then tried Textures\NexusMarine.blp, still didnt work. So i looked at the file path and it was set to NexusMarine.blp, but it still doesn't work. Is it because it's related to the original skin too much?

Yes I restarted WE.
I think it's just an error in the path file.
I'm not sure because I didn't attach it, you might find it.
It could also be because of WE being unable to read the file.
Because sometimes the file becomes 0kb or it becomes 82kb.
Original is 92kb -> 82kb.

Thanks for your help.

Haio, again!
well, i tested it ingame and its works properly.
Maybe you forgot to change the model from the unit.
Do this:
Open your map in WE.
Import the skin and the model.
Change theys path in order to remove the "War3mapImported\"
Restart WE.
Then:
1.Go to Object Editor (F6)
2.Go to Units tag.
3.Get the Marine in the left panel (Neutral Passive\Campaign\Units\Marine) and select it.
4.In the right panel search for "I) Art - Model File" and double click here.
5.In the new window, check the "Import" circle and select the Nexus_Marine.mdx.

Close the Object Editor and select the Marine unit this will have the new model.

I attach a image to show you the proccess.

Remember to ever give Rep to those who helps. That is a motivation for the helpers. :D
See ya!

Thanks for your help but...

Okay, if you saw my earlier post, never mind it.
After importing it to a new map, it worked for my current map.

So thanks a lot for all the effort you put into this.
I will be in your debt and will give you +1 Rep ASAP.

Also I made a change to the Omni-light, supposedly the flash that occurs when the Marine attacks. I tried to make it bigger, but instead it flashes the whole screen.

If you can help fix this and make it flash about 50% more than the original Marine, I'll be owing you +2 Reps or if anyone else can do it for me they would receive Rep.

Sorry, you must have misunderstood me.
When I said the flash I was talking about the flash on the ground.
Ha ha you must have a headache by now.
I wasn't talking about the particle emitter. Heh.. ironic.
If you could make the flash on the ground bigger and return the
flash on the gun to its original size that would be great.
Thanks in advance.

If you appreciate good helpers, then give Xezko Rep to encourage him. Also remember to give rep to those who have helped you.

srry m8. I can't get this right. Omnilights are one of the hardest part of modelling and most of modellers doesn't work never with those. I suggest you to forgot this, because its really hard to found someone really good that can help you D:
So, luck in your project! :)
Bye.
