shared units vs full shared units

What is the difference between shared units and full shared units in the "player set alliance" trigger?

shared units mean they share their units but not their resource information.
with full shared units, there will be a leaderboard with your ally's resource information (lumber, gold and food)

Shared also hides most abilities. Full shared gives full ability control.

Playing the game has only one option which is the "share units", does it mean full share units is only available through trigger?

Full shared puts allied hero's pics onto left part of the screen
