[Trigger] Set cooldown? ( sorry for asking again so soon)

First of all, sorry for asking another stupid question, but.. heh yea, just aint my daytoday, however, what i wonder is, is it possible to start the cooldown of an ability, so you'd have to wait for the cooldown without actully using the spell?

Impossiable sadly. The only way cooldown can be set is in the object editor before map start. Ingame you can emulate cooldown but can not set it and use the uilt in cooldown.

As in try an simulate cool down via triggers / disabling and enabling spells ect.

Overall it can have bugs which include lack of MUI and cooldown time abuse.

Well you could have the unit cast the said ability on a dummy unit and thus have it on cooldown. Just make shure u refund the mana life or whatever else needed to cast it..

well you could set the cooldown via mana amount like Ability x takes 300 mana and the caster has 1mp/sec regen so the cooldown is 5 min.. and then set the mana of that unit via trigger to zero
