Hello hive!I’m working on a Warcraft 3 custom campaign set in a dark, alternate timeline, and I want your help bringing it to life. In this world, Arthas won the events of Wrath of the Lich King, killing Tirion Fordring and resurrecting the heroes of Azeroth who tried to stop him. The Scourge, under his command, conquered Azeroth,from Northrend to the Thandol Span in the Eastern Kingdoms, and in Kalimdor, Thunder Bluff and Orgrimmar fell. His decade-long conquest was only halted at the Battle of Ironforge, where the Helm of Domination was lost and Arthas himself died, leaving Dun Morogh in ruins.
Twenty years later, the Scourge is a fractured empire, ruled by Kel’Thuzad in the East and Tirion Fordring in Kalimdor. The High Council of Northrend, led by Anub’arak, oversees Northrend but cannot directly control its armies or tip the balance between the emperors who constantly sabotage each other . They must await the rise of a new Lich King or find a new instrument of their will to end the cold war inside the scourge. Meanwhile, Night Elves and Horde remnants in Kalimdor, and humans and dwarves in the Eastern Kingdoms have been resisting the divided Scourge’s expansion.
To restore balance, the Council devises a desperate plan: resurrect the fallen Guardian Medivh. Only Medivh’s body, empowered by rare artifacts, can become a champion capable of enforcing the Council’s will. Zelvir, a fallen San’layn thief and the player character, is tasked with retrieving these artifacts.
Zelvir never fit into the rigid hierarchies of Quel’Thalas. Born a lowly thief, he resented the high elf aristocracy and longed to rise through skill rather than birthright. During Arthas’s conquest of Lordaeron, he became the right hand of Dark Han Drathir, seeing the Scourge as a path to power for ambitious outsiders. Over the years, he served the Scourge with distinction, becoming one of Arthas’s most trusted covert agents and stealing powerful artifacts for the Lich King himself.
After Arthas’s death, Zelvir witnessed the collapse of central authority. The Scourge lords engaged in a bitter cold war over territory, unable to unite.
Present at the final battle of Ironforge, Zelvir saw heroes and mortals alike fall. Disillusioned, he withdrew to a remote Vrykul island off Northrend, finding fragile peace until nerubians burrowed beneath his home and captured him. Brought before the High Council in Icecrown, he is given a choice: face execution for his years in hiding or retrieve Medivh’s body and help resurrect him as the ultimate champion, a weapon of unmatched power that can break this new cold war ending the internal chaos
This campaign explores custom mechanics, epic battles, and a reactive world where every choice matters.
