[Trigger] Saving items trigger?

I am making a campaign that involves transitions back and forth between the maps. I want to use the full screen inventory system, but how can I carry all the items to and fro?

How to put all those items into variables?

Or do we create a dummy hero to take the items, save the hero, load the hero and make the hero drop the items?

But then it would take a lot of heroes to save 100 items.....
