When I try to use models (such as General Frank's Armageddon Tank, for example) and I completely follow the tutorials for the models, the models only work if I convert them to mdl. Then, I put them in and they show up as a green box, instead of a purple one. If I put them on the field, they work properly, but if they're not in the field, it doesn't work at all. :eekani:

Can someone explain how to solve this?

1) Import the model. Don't convert it into .MDL.
2) Assign the model to your unit.
3) Save your map. Close the editor. Open the map again.
4) Voila! Your model should be working now. Even though the path says "Model_Name.mdl", it should still work despite not being .MDL but rather .MDX. This is a very common mistake to think that World Editor only accepts .MDLs while in reailty, an .MDX is a lighter and more compressed version of an .MDL.

Oh good. I thought I was doing something wrong at first.

Thank you very much!
