Welcome to the official thread of my almost complete map:
RIVER WARS

What is river wars?
River wars is a sort of altered melee map where the player takes direct control over a builder, or the leader as he is called, on their side of a large river. You start with a single tent, which serves as a drop off point for lumber and metal. After you get enough recources, the fun really starts.

About the leader
The leader is your builder, your hero and your character for the game. He can harvest lumber and metal at a greater rate than normal workers. He can also attack, and levels up every time you complete an objective, for instance 'have 10 villager homes'. Leveling up grants the leader more attack damage, health etc.

Your objective
Your objective is to get over the river and kill the opposing leader. If the leader falls, the village falls and you win the game. Here is the problem - the river is too dangerous to swim across and too deep to dig under. You need one of the current two end-game buildings to get you across - the port and the workshop. More on them later.

The units at your disposal
Your leader is not alone. As soon as he builds houses, he can train and house units. Here is a run down on the current units.

Footman: The footmen are your melee attack force. They have strength in numbers and all have bash.

Rifleman: The riflemen are more expensive than the footmen, but have ranged attacks and can shoot down enemy units. They all have critical strike.

Worker: The workmen have no attack and are cheap as chips to build, but can harvest wood and metal from the forest and mine.

Priest: The priests also have no attack, but have one of the game's most powerful abilities - convert. They use their persuasion to convert a target enemy to your side.

Ship: Ships ferry your units over the river. They are weak and defenseless, but cheap and can carry loads of units at once.

Flying Machine: Flying machines can fly your units over the river. They cannot hold many units at once, but have a 50% evasion and can drop units off anywhere.

The buildings
Buildings make up your village. Without buildings, you can't train units or get over the river. Lets take a look at the buildings so far.

Tent: Your starting building. All it does is serve as a drop of point for lumber and metal. You cannot build additional tents.

House: Houses supply you with villager slots. Each house is cheap and provides 1 slot for a villager.

Storehouse: Serves as a drop off point for lumber and metal. Also trains workers.

Blacksmith: Sells your leader weapons.

Barracks: Trains footmen and, after research, riflemen.

Village Hall: Provides a poisitive armour aura for your buildings.
Chapel: Upgraded Village hall. Provides a positive armour aura for your buildings and trains priests.

Market: Trades a large amount of metal for a small amount of lumber or a large amount of lumber for a small amount of metal.

Thats about it so far! Keeping up at the back?

Any questions, ideas or comments?
